Why exercise alone is useless for weight loss?
It might come as a shock to most people but when it comes to losing weight, exercise alone is pretty useless, according to Dr. Eric Ravussin, a prominent exercise researcher and chair of diabetes and metabolism at Lousiana State University as reported on Time Magazine.
This very interesting article on Time Magazine goes on to add that many recent studies have found that exercise isn’t as important in helping people lose weight as you hear so regularly in gym advertisements or on shows like The Biggest Loser — or, for that matter, from magazines like this one.

Tips for exercise
You can start by walking briskly, using stairs instead of elevators, going to a park or a mall and walk, mowing the lawn, dancing, swimming for recreation or bicycling. Going to a Gym, and doing situps, stretching and weight training can also strengthen your body and improve your fitness level. The key for success is to find the right exercise for you. If you enjoy doing it, chances are you would stay with it.
