Tirzepatide is injected once weekly and titrated gradually. Common adverse effects include nausea, diarrhea, constipation, vomiting, abdominal discomfort and reduced appetite. Important label considerations include pancreatitis, gallbladder disease, dehydration-related kidney injury, hypoglycemia with certain diabetes therapies, allergic reactions and a boxed warning involving thyroid C-cell tumors observed in rodents.
