Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a type of talk therapy used to treat mental health conditions, such as depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The therapy is based on the idea that a person's thoughts, behaviors, and emotions are interconnected and can influence each other. CBT aims to help individuals identify and change negative patterns of thinking and behavior and learn coping skills to manage symptoms. The therapy is usually short-term and may involve individual or group sessions.
