Anal canal

Represents the final segment of the large intestine. It is located beneath the pelvic diaphragm, between the rectus and anus. It is approximately 2 to 4 centimeters (0.98 to 1.57 inches) long in humans. It is located between the right and left ischioanal fossa in the anal triangle of the perineum.
