Physical inactivity is a lack of physical activity or exercise and can contribute to a range of negative health outcomes. Prolonged physical inactivity is associated with increased risk of chronic diseases, including heart disease, diabetes, and obesity. Regular physical activity and exercise can help to prevent and manage these and other health conditions. Small changes like taking the stairs instead of the elevator, going for a walk during lunch breaks, and taking up active hobbies like gardening or dancing can help increase physical activity and reduce the risks of physical inactivity.
