Alzheimer's disease (ad), also known as alzheimer's, is a neurodegenerative disease that typically begins slowly and worsens over time. It accounts for 60–70% of dementia cases. Recent memory loss is the most prevalent symptom of alzheimer's disease (short-term memory loss).
