Is the portion of the upper extremity between the shoulder joint (glenohumeral joint) and the elbow joint. Typically, the arm extends to the hand. It is composed of the upper arm, which extends from the shoulder to the elbow, the forearm, which extends from the elbow to the hand, and the hand. The shoulder girdle, composed of bones and muscles, is anatomically a component of the arm. The latin term brachium may refer to either the entire arm or the upper arm alone.
