Central obesity, also known as abdominal obesity or visceral obesity, is a condition in which excess fat accumulates around the abdomen and internal organs. This type of fat distribution is often referred to as a "beer belly" or "pot belly" and is associated with an increased risk of several health problems, including type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and some types of cancer. Central obesity is most commonly caused by a combination of genetic and lifestyle factors, such as poor diet, lack of exercise, and stress.
