Fasting blood glucose is a test that measures the level of glucose in your blood after an overnight fast. This test is used to diagnose diabetes and other metabolic disorders. Normal fasting blood glucose levels range from 70 to 99 mg/dL. High levels can indicate prediabetes or diabetes.
