Sleep-talking, also known as somniloquy, is a sleep disorder characterized by talking during sleep without being aware of it. Sleep-talking can range from simple mumbling to elaborate conversations and can occur during any stage of sleep. In most cases, sleep-talking is harmless, but it can be disruptive to bed partners and may indicate an underlying sleep disorder.
