Snoring is a common sleep-related sound produced by the vibration of soft tissues in the upper airway. While snoring can be harmless, it can also be a sign of sleep apnea, a more serious condition that results in temporary cessation of breathing during sleep. Treatments for snoring include lifestyle changes, positional therapy, and in severe cases, continuous positive airway pressure (cpap) therapy.
