The BRAT diet is a short-term dietary approach that is used to ease the symptoms of an upset stomach. BRAT stands for bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast. These foods are easy to digest and low in fiber, which makes them less likely to cause digestive distress. The BRAT diet is typically recommended for individuals who are experiencing nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea. However, it is not recommended for long-term use as it may not provide all of the nutrients necessary for a balanced diet.
