Trulicity
Trulicity, also known by its generic name dulaglutide, is a prescription medication used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. It is an injectable medication that belongs to a class of drugs called GLP-1 receptor agonists, which work by increasing insulin production and decreasing glucose production in the liver.
In recent years, Trulicity has also gained attention as a potential treatment for weight loss. According to clinical trials, patients using Trulicity for the treatment of type 2 diabetes have shown significant weight loss as a side effect. FDA approval
While Trulicity is not specifically approved by the FDA for weight loss, it has been shown to be effective in promoting weight loss as a side effect. Additionally, because the medication is used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes, it may also be a good option for overweight or obese individuals with this condition.
